Types of Automation

Currently, there are two types of automation for payments.

1) Split payment

2) Recurring payment

Split payments

With split payment automation, you’re able to automatically send funds to multiple beneficiaries of your choice based on either a percentage or a set amount of inflow.

Split payments work perfectly for joint ventures, commission-based businesses and freelancers that want to allocate a percentage or fixed amount of their money, to one of their Prospa sub-accounts, a savings app, investment app, or a business partner.

Here’s how you set up a split payment automation

Step 1: Open your Prospa app.

Step 2: Choose any of your business accounts or sub-accounts that you want to automate payment from

Step 3: Tap on options on the top right corner of the account page.

Step 4: Select automation > create a new automation

Step 5: Choose the type of payment automation you are looking to create

Step 6: Add an auto rule

You can also create an automation payment when creating a sub-account.

Recurring payments

With the recurring payment automation, you can schedule payments and repeat transfers; for example, salary, regular payment to a supplier, tax office or loan repayments. We’ve built super flexible parameters for pretty much any type of recurring payment, and you can decide when your recurring payment starts and ends.

Here’s how you set up a Recurring payment automation

Step 1: Open your Prospa app.

Step 2: Choose any of your business accounts or sub-accounts that you want to automate payment from

Step 3: Tap on options on the top right corner of the account page.

Step 4: Select automation > create a new automation

Step 5: Choose the type of payment automation you are looking to create

Step 6: Add a recurring payment

You can also create an automation payment when creating a sub-account.

What’s great about Automations is that they work in tandem with the newly upgraded Prospa sub-accounts, so you can set up different automation for every sub-account.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Automations can I create?

Members can create one split amount or percentage rule per sub-account, however, they can have multiple recurring payments.

Can I split payment to an international bank account?

No, you can’t. Currently, you can only split payments to local accounts (Nigerian bank accounts).

Can I stop a recurring and split payment?

Yes, you can delete or update a payment rule.
